Vaccination Phases
Texas is vaccinating Phase 1A and 1B individuals. Please see definitions below
Phase 1A
- resident of a long term care facility
Phase 1B
- persons 65 year of age and older
- persons 16 year and older with one chronic, high risk medical condition, such as but not limited to:
- Cancer
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- Heart conditions, heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies
- Solid organ transplantation
- Obesity and severe obesity (BMI >30 kg/m2 or higher)
- Pregnancy
- Sickle Cell Disease
- Type 2 Diabetes mellitus
Please note that:
- Vaccine supplies arrive weekly.
- Each site’s registration process is different, so please be sure to review site for details.
- Sites may have long waitlist, or may no longer be accepting appointments for the week.
Hospital Systems
Hospital systems are vaccinating established patients from the past 18-24 months
1. Baylor College of Medicine

- Contact your Baylor provider to input an electronic order or send a MyChart message request
- Once orders are inputted, call 713-798-8600 to schedule the appointment

- GetSetUp, the platform and community you trust to learn new things, is here to help! They are offering free, live, online Covid-19 vaccine information sessions to show you where to go for information and how to navigate your state or county’s vaccine scheduling tools. Local community members will also share their own experiences with vaccine scheduling, and they’ll be answering your questions.
- 30 – 60 minute sessions are offered daily for many states and counties. Check their schedule to see when a session is being offered for your area. Additional sessions are being added each day, so if you don’t see one in your area, please check back soon.
