There are a variety of national agencies and organizations that offer great general resources for caregivers. These are not the only resources available.
Family Caregiver Alliance
The Family Caregiver Alliance provides a comprehensive set of resources to caregivers including on demand caregiver education webinars, disease specific fact sheets, and a caregiver connection portal.
National Institutes on Aging
The National Institutes on Aging’s website contains a wealth of knowledge on healthy aging as well as disease specific topic sheets. The A-Z Health Topics page covers topics from Talking to Your Doctor to Legal and Financial Planning.
AARP Prepare to Care
The AARP Prepare to Care Guide is offered in a variety of languages and cultures. The guidebook provides family caregivers with a detailed outline to begin their caregiver journey. It includes sample caregiving plans, goals and checklists to help caregivers get organized.
National Alliance for Caregiving
National Alliance for Caregiving is committed to advancing family caregiving through research, innovation and advocacy. The organizations website contains information on advocacy efforts and a list of helpful caregiving resources.
Caregiver Action Network
Caregiver Action Network directs caregivers to resources based on their caregiving situation. All caregiving situations have access to caregiver stories, videos, tips and the Family Caregiver Toolbox. The Family Caregiver Toolbox connects caregivers to resources on Nutrition Counseling, Technology, Respite Care, Medication Checklist and beyond.
